I have cared for animals all my life starting as a young child would have to clean out and change the litter in the cat boxes.
As I grew older and had my own home I would have to care for the cats that had a medical problem, such as a bad heart and one with water on the brain and both kidneys were bad also had one that had siezures and also had to cut up medicine for him as well. I had to cut up cat medication all the time and put it into capsules since most of the medicine had a bitter taste. Would also have to feed a cat if he stopped eating through a syringe. Would have to also watch his breathing and increase some of his meds, and also cut back on meds when he would stop eating. I also had dogs as well, and even trained myself to groom the poodle myself with clippers. I know how to clip both cat and dogs claws. I would also take care of my grand dog, when my daughter would go out of town, and always take him for walks. He would sleep with me during the night my cats were not happy with this but it was only for a few nights or weekends when she was out of town. My vet had told me I kept the cats that had a bad heart longer than they expected them to live, and only because I kept a watchful eye on them all the time. I love animals so much and enjoy being around them, I do have 6 cats of my own, but you would not know it until you see the cat dishes lined up. Sometimes I would have to bathe the cat and even my grand dog, since my daughter worked and did not have the time. He did not even mind it when I used the hair dryer to dry him.
I have never been paid to take care of my grand dog I did this because I loved him. This would be the first time I have thought about doing this since I do love animals so much and now that I am retired I do have spare time on my hands. I am retired from the federal government. Please give me a try, I am sure you would be happy. Depending on the distance I would have to travel would talk with the owners of the pets about what I would charge and how many dogs or cats would have to take care of, and how often I would need to go over to take care of them. I feel animals are part of the family and need loving care just like everyone else.
