I'm truly a sucker for animals, dogs especially. For about a year I was taking in sick dogs and getting them back to health and then giving them away to homes I felt were good for them. In my life I've personally had a total of seven; Sasha (a mix of many breeds-rescued from the pound), Dixie (half Maltese, half Poodle), Alastaire (West Highland Terrier-gave him to my step mom), Athena (half Jack Russell Terrier, half Australian Shepard), Jenna (Blue Heeler-gave her to a mother and her two children after the mother had just had a miscarriage and her husband left her), Lucky (blue and white Pit-bull), and Daisy (half Black Lab, half Sheltie-I saved her from an abusive home where she was chained up outside all her life on a four foot chain). I've had to dog-sit before for family and friends as well. I'm great with animals and they warm up to me fast!
