My whole life I've had dogs as part of my family. I have cared for them by giving there medications and feeding them their meals. The most rewarding part about having dogs is taking them for walks and playing fetch with them. Aside from my families dogs, a 12-year-old female chocolate lab and 5-year-old male German shepherd, I have helped take care of one of my neighbors dogs. Max was a Malamute around the age of 6 when I helped out with him. When my neighbors went on vacation for a week or so, which was the first time they asked for me help, I was more than happy to help out. My responsibilities were to feed him breakfast and dinner and to make sure to let him out frequently. I would go over there several times a day to make sure he was taken care of. I also took him for walks to make sure he got outside and was happy. Keeping him company for periods of time felt important to me cause he was just sitting at home by himself. I helped out a few other occasions after that time with the same things when my neighbors needed someone to watch him.
