I'm Annii of Annii's Purrfect Cat Companion/Pet Sitter. I'd love to care for your Cats*, Dogs** [see notes below] and Small Animals in the comfort of their own home, or for Small Animals and occasionally Cats, if I have room, in my own home.
Small Animals include: rabbits to small rodents, birds, fish, reptiles, no snakes {or any other reptiles that eat live food}, and amphibians, including turtles and tortoises.
Duties for Cats include feeding, scooping, cleaning the feeding and litter box areas, playing, loving, grooming, etc.
*I can board cats in my home for extended periods, if I have the room!!
Duties for small animals and birds include: feeding, fresh water and cage/tank cleaning, as needed.
**I will care for your dog(s) once or twice a day, if you live nearby so that I can feed your dog, let him/her out to play, run, etc. in your yard or take him/her for a walk.
Giving oral medications is no problem!!
I'm trained to give insulin injections and subcutaneous IV fluids.
I worked 4 years as a Vet Tech at an Animal Hospital in Braintree, assisting the Vets with Cat & Dog care.
Before that I worked for 10 years as a Med Asst in a Pediatric Urgent Care Dept, where I learned that small children and animals aren't all that different, especially when it comes to handling them with care and giving meds.
During that time, I volunteered for many years at two cat shelters on the South Shore: feeding, grooming, loving, playing, medicating, and cleaning up for 20 to 30+ cats and kittens.
I have a household of my own rescued furry buddies, plus three grown children, so I know how important the right care can be.
I'm also willing to do other chores, such as water house plants & outside plants, take in the mail & newspapers and do a general look-see around the home to make sure all is safe and secure!
