Hi there! I am a strong-minded animal advocate with a compassionate, gentle and loving heart for all animals.

I grew up with animals (especially dogs!) from the time I was born. Over the past 10 years, cats, hamsters, mice, guinea pigs, turtles, and ferrets (among other types of animals!) have been thrown into the mix as well. I adore animals and am an animal advocate with the ASPCA, and have worked as a volunteer with no-kill animal shelters, most recently with a Humane Society. There I did dog training, as well as work on their marketing plan and volunteer program. It was wonderful to be part of such a fantastic organization.

I am pro-adoption of animals, but certainly have a love for pure-breeds as well! I have a cat named Keanna, who is a "torbi" (part tortoise shell, part tabby), who I adopted in 2008 from the SPCA in Conshohocken, PA. They had her in with the kittens as a "last resort" even though she was 4-years-old! At a mere 4 pounds, she took a liking to me, and I wound up taking here home that day. She's such a beautiful addition to my little family (right now it's just us!) and I love her so much.

My last dog, Brandy, I sadly had to put down last year. She was my roommate's dog from college, and was a 14-year-old Black Lab mix, who was a rescue as well. Brandy was THE dog... the ONE that you have that gets into your heart, that you will never be able to replace. And my dear Keanna is that kitty.

Also, I love being around horses and farm animals as well! As noted above, my family, as well as my current roommate have animals. In the past, I have helped friends find homes for their animals and/or worst case scenario, surrender them to the proper no-kill shelter.
