I have always had a real passion for animals! Not only have I grown up with all different kinds of pets, but also graduated college with an Animal Science degree and have had several pet care/sitting jobs.
In school I took related classes such as: Animal Behavior, Anatomy & Physiology of Domestic Animals, Pharmacology, etc. I was also graded on how well I was able to train a dog (Eddy-lab mix) that was chosen at random out of a shelter. We used the method of clicker training. Basically Eddy was my partner in crime for the year. We were also asked to perform monthly physical exams in front of the professor and update her on our progress. It was extremely fun and Eddy loved the attention.
All in all, the pet sitting jobs I've had in the past were for dogs and cats, but I have sat for rabbits, guinea pigs and rats as well. I could honestly say, I really do feel for animals and always do my best to treat them with as much respect and love as possible.
