I have been destined to care for pets my whole life. Growing up, my family consisted of a full house of five Dogs, seven Cats, five Birds, a Pony, a Bunny, a Ferret, a Guinea pig, a Packman frog, an Iguana, a Red footed Tortoise, a Hedgehog, a Sugar glider, and many Fish tanks over the years. My pets are my brothers and sisters. There is not one day that goes by that I don't think of the ones that have lived out their years and how I miss the others that are back at my childhood home.

My mother worked in a veterinary office from the time that I was 3. I would go to work with her as often as I could. I enjoyed spending time with the sick animals and helping them through their tough times. I soon became a regular in the animal hospital. I liked getting to know the owners and finding out more about their pets. The even better part of being there was learning how to care for pets and fix the problems that they have. I learned so much from spending time with the doctor and watching him do surgeries and different procedures.

Since I have left home, I realize how much my family's pets have done for me and I miss them more and more the longer I am away. The least I could do while I am away from my family is care for others. I am attending college to attain a degree in elementary education so that I can help care for and help people forever. Taking care of pets and helping people is my passion and what makes me truly happy.
