I come from a huge-dog-lover family. When my family and I were in elementary school, we bought our first dog, from our favorite pet store in Newport Beach, a German shepherd, golden retriever, collie mix, lived until she was 16 years old!

Two years later, we purchased another dog from the same pet store, a cockapoo, and we tragically lost her when she was hit by a car outside of house. My family was devastated.

About six months later, we decided that our dog needed another buddy, so we returned to the SAME pet store, and brought home a poodle terrier mix. He just celebrated his 10th birthday, and is still going strong! He has lost a bit of his lust for life since we lost the other dog, but on the other hand he loves being the center of attention!

It's cliche, I know, but I truly believe that dogs are a (wo)man's best friend. They love their owners unconditionally, and I think they keep us feeling young as well. I have done a good amount of dog-sitting for my own dogs, as well as some sitting for our friends and family. I am very comfortable staying overnight at other people's homes to watch their pets, or routinely stopping by to check in on them.
