I have been a lifelong pet owner and couldn't imagine my home without at least one. They are, in so many ways, like eternal toddlers, depending on you for everything their entire lives. What they give you in return is love without condition. There isn't too much that's better than that! Here is some of my work experience. I have worked at a pet emergency clinic in Gretna, Louisiana. I worked as a veterinary technician and receptionist. I provided on-duty veterinarian care with all necessary assistance during patient examinations, medical treatments, and in surgery. Collection of test samples, non-medical care of hospitalized patients, and customer assistance were also included in these duties. I was responsible for the management of the office with respect to training, billing, bookkeeping, and inventory tracking, as well as ordering supplies. I also worked at an animal hospital. I assisted the doctor as needed in surgery and during routine treatments. I utilized customer services skills that served to build lasting relationships with all clients and their pets. I also aided clients in choosing products, services, and appointment scheduling. Bookkeeping, computer support, and inventory maintenance were inclusive. I am also very active with the NSDF (National Search Dog Foundation), doing all I can to raise awareness and funds for this awesome non-profit.
