I've had a dog of my own for four years and more when I was a child. When I moved to San Antonio for college, I missed living on my family's ranch and had to get an animal. Copper, my dog, is like my son and is very friendly. I take him to the dog park almost everyday. I guess what I mean to say is that I understand what it feels like to consider your pet as a family member. It's a great responsibility no matter what age. It takes a lot of love and sometimes money to take care of them. You have to train them, walk them frequently, make sure you are feeding them correctly, take them to the veterinarian, and always make time for them, almost like having a child. I also have years of experience caring for two cats. My best friend has two cats and his career usually takes him out of town, so I always take of them in his absence. I do have to say though; cats usually take care of themselves. It's so different than having a dog. They usually just want to eat, sleep, and some cuddling. If I was given the opportunity to care for your little family member, I promise to care for him or her like they were my own.
