My dog care experience includes fostering and sitting for more than 150 puppies and dogs since 2003. I also volunteered for Support Dogs, which included working with my cavalier as a support dog therapy team to visit elderly people, and helping raise a support dog puppy who went on for training as a therapy dog for disabled people. I raised four dogs from puppy hood to adulthood: a standard poodle, a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, and two all-American mixes. I also helped whelp and raise two puppy litters, one of which was from a pregnant momma rescued from the pound. Training classes and ongoing educational activities concerning dogs continue to be part of my life.
