I love all animals. I dedicate my free time to working for animal rights. I often find myself rescuing stray dogs and then needing to find them a home. That's because I have three dogs of my own, two of whom were rescues. I've owned dogs since 1995. Before that, I always had cats. I do enjoy cats, but I have to admit that I am partial to dogs. There is something very special about them, and no two are the same. I'm a firm believer in exercise, for both humans and animals. A 15-minute walk is not nearly enough for most large dogs. They need a minimum of 45 minutes of vigorous exercise, either a fast walk/run, a hike on a mountain trail or time at the dog park. They also need a lot of TLC. I'll give your dogs the same love and care I give my own. As pack animals, dogs are social creatures. They need a significant amount of interaction, either with people or other dogs. You can be sure they will get that with me.

I read a lot on animal behavior. I have considered schooling as a dog trainer. I frequently rescue dogs from poor living situations where they are being abused or neglected. I consider it one of my life's missions.
