Cynthia G. - Minneapolis Pet Sitter or Dog Walker

Profile of Cynthia G.

Part-Time, 5 Years of Experience

I attended a one-year clinical-veterinary-assistant program at a local college in 1994 receiving a certificate of diploma in the field (with a GPA of 3.9). I worked at that position for five years at Belt Line Pet Hospital which closed its doors when the owner passed away. I went into the field because I love animals (obviously!) and quit for the same reason, it's heart-wrenching work most of the time. I've always loved and had animals as pets from guinea pigs and mice to cats, dogs and birds. I live in an apartment now and am unable to have a dog (I'm a tried-and-true 'dog' person!) but have two cats (homeless kitties who I brought back from Mexico) that I adore, to fill the void that a 'pet-less' home would have. I have always taken care of the cats and dogs of my family members when they leave town because they know I love doing it and their pets will be well taken care of. The critters are always happy to see me too! The compassion I carry for animals is almost to a fault; I've spent many-a-sleepless night over the plight of homeless and mistreated animals! I can also help with training (house/behavior) if needed; I actually get great joy from seeing a well trained/behaved owner!! I believe my lot in life is to see to it that our furry (or maybe not so furry) friends enjoy their time with us and are treated with great care and respect.
Related Hobbies and Interests
I worked as a volunteer at the humane society of Golden Valley (in the exam department) until my heart was broken too many times. I was an active member of the HSUS for many years.
