I have owned dogs for most of my life. I have lived with a number of roommates who have owned cats. I have an affinity for all animals. I have been told by numerous people upon meeting my dogs that they are well-mannered and well-trained.

This is because I concentrate on socialization and consistency when training dogs, not on tricks. After all, dogs have to live in a world with humans, some who don't care for dogs. I find dogs to be more balanced when they have been socialized to interact with people and other dogs properly. I especially enjoy bringing my two dogs along for the exercise when appropriate.

When walking dogs, I usually leash train them if needed.

I have worked as a pet sitter/dog walker in the past. I find it satisfying to the point that I look forward to spending time with the animals. Especially walking dogs, which is even more gratifying when it is appropriate to bring my own two dogs along for the exercise.

I spend much of my off-work hours with my dogs, playing ball or Frisbee in parks, going on long walks, and eating at outside cafes. In California, I took my dogs to elderly homes and hospitals as therapy dogs. I hope to do the same here in Florida.
