Kat K. - Baltimore Pet Sitter or Dog Walker

Profile of Kat K.

Full-Time, 6 Years of Experience

Animals are my life! I recently returned to the United States after a six month independent volunteer trip in South America. I volunteered at animals shelters from Guatemala to Brazil. I love animals so much that I flew a Brazilian street dog home with me! I am determined to educate South Americans about the importance of animals within their countries. I'm currently trying to start a small, trustworthy, passionate dog walking service. I want to strengthen the bond between people and their pets.

I have a great deal of experience working with animals in both veterinary and shelter environments. I have been quoted in Baltimore Dog Magazine in reference to dog behavior as well. I left my past position as an admissions coordinator at a local animal shelter to volunteer in South America. Part of my previous positions duties was to educate the public about training techniques to modify problematic behaviors (helping decrease the amount of animals entering the shelter). While attending college in Florida, I interned at a local SPCA (I also walked shelter dogs on the weekends). I'm working towards buying land in South America for my own animal rescue and low cost spay/neuter clinic.

I can walk your dog and work with problematic behaviors at the same time. Most people don't realize that almost all breeds need a half of hour of exercise a day. Lack of exercise can lead to behavior issues and poor health. But don't stress because I am here to help.
