I was a volunteer at an animal rescue league in West Texas and picked up my current miniature-dachshund from an animal shelter in Austin. I have worked as an in-home caretaker and walker for sick and normally functioning animals, including dogs, cats, and ferrets. I truly believe that interaction with animals can improve your quality of life!
