I am in the military and use house cleaning services quite often: before and after a deployment, when moving in and out of a residence, and sometimes when I just need the extra help. I have used quite a few agencies over the past 30 years.

I used Merry Maids the day before I was planning to have a house-full of people over. I didn't have time to take care of the cleaning the way I wanted, so I called and they were able to send 2 people over on short notice (about 24 hours). They did a great job and were very professional. It made me want to hire cleaners more often!

We used Merry Maids a couple times. I found their service good for the most part. Everything visible was very clean. However, I wasn't happy that they didn't seem to clean under things, and I found some dust bunnies after they had left. They were very reliable though and came exactly when they said they would.
