The Kumon center is good in that it has a pre-made curriculum that is appropriate all the way from say three years (learning your ABC's) all the way to 12th grade and the center is set up in such a way that children can come in for 30 minutes at a time (no longer) several days a week and enter a low pressure environment where they are evaluated as to their level and then given materials that help them develop degree by degree. I think it is great if you find a Kumon near your favorite shopping or grocery and let your child do something constructive while you run your errands!
