Help Around The House A La Carte

We are a family of two busy professionals, with two kids and two cats, and we need help around the house!

We are looking for someone who is honest, hardworking, lives close to our home, and has a pleasant and professional demeanor. This job would work on the schedule of a baby sitter (we call when we need you and will call often!) and each session/project would be for three to five hours at a time, usually on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Since we hire per project, the ideal candidate should be goal oriented and efficient.

I will come up with specific tasks- e.g., do laundry, change bedsheets, organize a specific room, clean and organize the garage, help organize a closet, sort through stuff (with me) that needs to be disposed of and hauled away, change light bulbs, or hang a picture. As you can see, the ideal person would be an organized cleaner, who is also handy around the house. We already have a cleaning service that comes weekly, but our house is very cluttered and we need help with detailed cleaning and organizing things. Most projects will be performed during our weekend family time, so you may have to work on your own (I will be in the house if you have questions, but may be doing my own chores or errands), or you will work directly with me. As with any other professional who works in our home, we are looking for someone who is discrete and will not invade our personal space. We would like to minimize the amount of people entering our house and would like to hire one, trusted individual who will be in the area for an extended period of time.

Depending on if we can find the right person, we may consider weekday sessions of two hours, twice weekly, to do small tasks, tidy things around the house or do laundry. We do background checks and pay $12 per hour.
