After 12.5 years as an educator, I'm currently a stay at home mom to a 1-year-old daughter and a business entrepreneur as a custom seamstress. This is why I'm passionate about housekeeping. Housekeeping part-time allows me to work when my husband is at home, so my daughter does not have to go to day care and I'm able to spend the rest of the day being mommy while working on my sewing business. Why housekeeping, as a part-time job consideration? I like the feeling of a clean house, I enjoy working alone, I have a great deal of experience and it coincides with my experience as a Home Economics Teacher.
My housekeeping experience includes the following:
1) Ever day chores in my parent's home while growing up
2) Light housekeeping while babysitting, as a teenager and in college
3) Cleaning houses and a cattle sale barn while in college
4) Cleaning offices, as a fill in, for a professional housekeeper while she was on vacation
5) Cleaning my own home
