As a child my mother would take me on her housekeeping jobs. I used to enjoy dusting and and talking with the older women my mother cleaned house for. After that it seemed that I cleaned almost everything and started helping with more and more as I got older, more able to operate a washer, dryer, etc. This led to the need to change my bedroom around as well as the furniture in my fathers home quite regularly in my teenage years.
My father gave me the passion for cooking and caring for others. He always said a good meal can say a lot to a person. It can let them know you care or your there for them without saying a word. If you can't help someone out by giving them anything else you can fill there belly and let them know that they at least have you to talk to.

As far as experience goes, while babysitting I also would engage in light house work and meal prep. Also to make extra money while in college I would clean my grandparents home as well as their neighbors. There was a brief stint during my senior year in high school that I helped my fathers then girlfriend at the apt. complex she managed with cleaning and maintenance after a residence would move out.
