Wow, Debra,
Let me ask you, is that really a fair assessment? Let's break it down. I spent 4 hours at your condo. You have 3 full baths, bedroom, kitchen, dining, living, office, foyer, long hallway, carpeted basement steps, finished basement with a bedroom. Persons in the home are you, your daughter, a dog and a cat.

Wow, Debra,
Let me ask you, is that really a fair assessment? Let's break it down. I spent 4 hours at your condo. You have 3 full baths, bedroom, kitchen, dining, living, office, foyer, long hallway, carpeted basement steps, finished basement with a bedroom. Persons in the home are you, your daughter, a dog and a cat.
When I spoke with you on the phone, you told me you have not found anyone you have been happy with and that agencies are sending you people who "don't even speak English."
When I arrived you complained of your laminate floors and how people aren't getting them clean. You showed me around and told me of everything you wanted done. Initially you wanted a first time cleaning done in 3 hours.
When was the last time your house was cleaned? Dog hair like that needs to be kept up with daily. Your house is filled with throw rugs. I vacuumed under all of them, under all of your furniture, I touched and cleaned every surface in the house. Your counters are full with odds and ends and your daughter's shower and bathroom counters are filled with stuff. If you expect the people you hire to clean to put all of that stuff away, then you need to give time and a place to put it.
When I finally got done with the whole house cleaning, I had been there maybe 3. 5 hours? The floors still needed to be done. You advised me at that point you wanted me to just do enough of the floors to finish up 4 hours. I did that, and then I went back to look at the floors (and by the way, the office floor and hallway were the only areas undone) and all of the water marks left behind from the other cleaning lady were gone.
I worked my butt off in your house Debra. I did do a good job. I know you were anxious because you needed to get to work, but maybe the next person you hire you should allow more time to fulfill your expectations. It's a big job. I'm only one person.
In order for someone to do the job you expect, you need the proper tools. You need to provide some sort of scrubber for your daughter's bathroom floor. You need to provide a device for cleaning your floors. I was on my hands and knees cleaning 3 bathroom floors and your laminates. It's not easy work. Maybe you should break up what you want done in a realistic amount of time. I really left feeling that I gave your home a thorough cleaning. I'm sorry it wasn't your feeling as well.
I wish you luck Debra. I do hope you find the right match. You have a lovely home.
Sincerely,
Laura
