I am insured and bonded, I now offer an array of services, tailored to you and your pets' needs.
Pet Sitting: As an experienced veterinary technician and Humane Society volunteer, I provide quality care for pets in their own home, visiting one to three times a day as needed, whether a client is on vacation or just away from the house all day. This is beneficial for both pets and their owners. Animals do much better in their normal, safe and secure environment while surrounded by familiar sights, sounds and smells. They receive love and personal attention, and are able to stick to their normal routine. This eliminates the trauma of an unfamiliar environment, close proximity to other animals and possible exposure to disease and infection.
Owners benefit by knowing their family pets are in the loving and caring hands of an experienced caretaker who can deal with any issue that may arise. And as an experienced veterinary technician, I am able to provide for the special needs of elderly pets and pets with acute or chronic medical conditions, administering medication or other care as prescribed by their veterinarian, and be on the lookout for any early signs of illness.
Home Care: As a pet owner myself, I understand the importance of a clean house and what that involves. I can bathe pets, clean and freshen floors, rugs and upholstery, dust, do laundry, etc. Though specializing in pet households, my services are available for all homes. For clients on vacation, I can also bring in the mail or water the plants.
Personal Care: If you need help with errands, a light meal, taking your pets to the vet or groomer or walking your dog, I can take care of that as well.
Boarding: I now offer boarding on an individualized limited basis. If you only have one or two pets and they are socialized and house trained, we are happy to have them join our family while you're out of town.
Initial Consultation (no charge): At this visit, we can complete the necessary paperwork, answer questions, transfer keys and tour your home, while discussing detailed instructions on how to care for your pets. This meeting is only needed prior to my first visit to your home, and should be scheduled at least 48 hours prior to service.
Rates: $16.00 per hour (1 hour minimum outside of Toccoa or more than 25 miles round trip), plus fuel. Boarding will be quoted upon request.
