Hello! I'm 26 years old and an aspiring English as a foreign language teacher. I have my Bachelor's degree in French and Francophone Studies and a TEFL certification. I'm currently enrolled in a program to teach English overseas starting in October, so I'm looking for a short-term position here in Arlington in the meantime. I am a non-smoker. I'm the oldest of 4 children, so I've been a "mom's helper" from a young age. I would baby-sit for my parents and keep the house running smoothly when they'd go on errands or out of town. I do not have paid experience as a professional housekeeper, but I've done chores at home for over 10 years. I know how to do laundry, fold clothes, wash dishes, mop floors, clean bathrooms and general tidying up. My equipment of preference are rubber gloves, a rag towel, and soapy bleach water! If you have specific cleaning products you prefer to use, that can be integrated or substituted as well. My skills in ironing and cooking are at a basic level. I'm no professional chef, but I have successfully prepared dishes such as spaghetti, scrambled eggs, potatoes, rice, canned vegetables, frozen dinners, ground beef, and seasoning of meats such as chicken, beef, and pork. I'm definitely open to expanding, advancing, and adapting my cooking skills. I hope to be of service!
