I was hired as a housekeeper. Although I was left to watch clients children as he ran to the "bank" but came home with groceries? I had only cleaned the house 1 time and the client left his two children home alone with me? I was expected to clean a 2400 sq. ft. house in two hours. The clients wanted me to clean 2 hours a week for $100/month. With a active dog, usually one adult, and two children following behind my every step with dirt or toys. I carried out 3 garbage bags full of dirty diapers that had been in the rooms in plastic bags not taken out to the trash. Each time to the house this was the same case each week bags full of dirty diapers. I guess it was too much to dispose of urine and feces filled diapers. Received a text from client stating " thank you so much for your help its greatly appreciated" The final straw actually took place when I was asked to clean out the fridge. Anyways I didn't have time on my 2 hour our visit as the remaining rooms in the house needed attention as well. So I planned on cleaning it the following week. The clients wife was baking for Thanksgiving when I returned the next week. Every counter in the kitchen was dirty and obviously the kitchen was occupied so I used my time to clean other parts of the house until the kitchen was free. Once again my hours were up. Shortly after leaving I received a phone call from the client. Asking me if I cleaned the fridge? Client asked me to return to clean it. Since I was not going to get paid for my services over two hours no I wouldn't be returning that day to clean. The first cleaning session I was told that I would be paid for double since the initial visit would take longer. So I would get paid for 4 hours instead of 2. I was also informed that I would get paid on the 15th of each month. We had to miss one week so I average out being a month = a paycheck expected of $100.00. Nope I received a paycheck for $75.00. After calling client he agreed that I was correct and had he choice of receiving another check or adding it to next months check. Adding it to next months check was my request. When the situation with the client calling to see if I would return to clean I was asked where I wanted my check mailed to? Still haven't received that paycheck of the remaining $25.00 or pay for the last visit. Totaling $50.00 Not a large amount but I did clean and earn this money ? Do not work for these clients as they want a housekeeper but didn't want to pay.
