I recently Worked for a cleaning service in Monterey, CA that has a contract with the naval base. 2 story rental homes with 2 1/2 baths with 3 bedrooms. Started work around 6:30 a.m. and finished between 3/5 p.m. cleaned 4 to 5 houses daily, and worked 4 to 5 days weekly. All were detailed to windows, blinds, toilets, bathtubs, showers, cabinets, fixtures, sinks, walls doors, floors, swept, moped, vacuumed, refrigerator inside and out, stove inside and out. I also worked as a non-medical caregiver for an 83-year-old blind woman 4 hrs a day, twice a week. Washed and folded laundry, changed linens, dusted vacuumed her bedroom, cleaned shower, toilet and sink, walked her dog and accompanied her to Dr. appointments. Checked in and out daily with the home care center with info on making sure she had regular bowel movements and how much water she consumed and if she had breakfast in am and how much she ate. Reminded her daily if she has taken her medication. I would read scripts of the bible to her. Before I started as a non-medical caregiver, I was a live in companion for almost a year, took care of this 78-year-old woman that had leg and hand surgery, so I did her house cleaning, laundry, ran errands, prepared her meals daily, and accompanied her to Dr. Appointments.
My up bringing was daily chores first and then homework ever since I have always had a clean home and I like my house in order. I do enjoy cleaning other homes, like if I were cleaning my own, once I'm done I like to walk through my work to make sure I didn't miss anything. There's nothing like coming home to a clean house and know that I am the responsible party that cleaned it as if it were my own home. I take pride in my job and brought up with integrity, and believe in punctuality. I don't believe in a half fast job, if your going to do the job do it right.
