Angel worked in my home as a part-time nanny housekeeper during the Spring 2011 school term after the family's previous nanny resigned in favor of a full-time position. I work from a home office and was able to observe Angel' work habits and skills on a daily basis. Angel has provided excellent after school care for my school age children. Angel was responsible to ensure the kids homework and chores were completed each school day while also preparing the family's dinner, doing laundry, and running errands when requested. Angel did the weekly grocery shopping as well as shuttled kids to their various activities. Angel was presented with a special challenge working with my youngest, 9 year old son who has ADHD and Dyslexia. Angel provided the necessary one on one intervention and assistance he needed on a daily basis to complete homework, chores, even bathe himself in a timely manner. Since my children are school age and do not need constant supervision, Angel has been able to provide housekeeping services while also overseeing the kids. I was thoroughly pleased with Angel's organization skills, as she has cleaned out and de-cluttered the kitchen (including two refrigerators and a deep freezer), laundry room, family room, and kids bedrooms. Our family has hosted au pairs in the past, and over the years I simply lost control of my kitchen. Angel turned that around, and I am enjoying what feels like a brand new kitchen! Note that Angel's work with my family ended due to no fault of her own. My oldest son is 16, and his Dad and I have decided that asking, expecting, even requiring him to be accountable and learn responsibility is long overdue. I really enjoy having extra paid help around the house and with the kids, but feel it has enabled their laziness for too long. I am already at home during the day, and during summer break the 16 year old is responsible to watch over his siblings and work with them to get assigned chores and tasks completed while I work. In summary, Angel has been a motivated and eager nanny housekeeper for our family. I am sad to lose her help on a daily basis but am hopeful that she will be available once or twice a month to continue working with me to organize and right-size my home. I highly recommend Angel as a nanny, housekeeper, or any combination of the two.
