As far as housekeeping experience goes, twice a week I am a care provider/housekeeper for a 77 year old woman currently, and have been for the past year to present. I started off just as transportation and doing little things around the house that were problematic for her, but within this year her memory has worsened, (on top of hurting herself after a fall) causing her quality of life to dwindle. I now take on the roles of care provider, and housekeeper.
I am very detail oriented in general, but this ends up being beneficial when I clean. I am also extremely meticulous; not to say it will take me 12 hours for a three hour job, but I am thorough. I equate cleaning to the concept of "quality not quantity," I would rather ensure I'm thorough rather than making it 'seem' clean. For potential employers, if you are interested if you want to hire me on the spot and see how it works out this is fine, but I would prefer to do a "test run." This is simply for your benefit, to ensure my quality of work is up to your standards.
