Our names are Jeff and Rivka and we love dogs. Since 1999, we have been taking care of people's dogs in our home while they're away. We started out caring for our own dog Callie who passed away in December 2004. When Callie was a puppy he loved having playmates come to the house, so we began taking in our friends' and family's dogs when they went on vacations. Eventually we opened up our home to the public. Over the past 13 years we've taken care of hundreds of different dogs in our home.
Home Buddies, the name of our "Bed and Biscuit," is a place where you can leave your dog while you are gone and expect him/her to become part of a loving and devoted home. We wanted to create an alternative to kennels where people can feel like their dogs are getting the kind of care they'd get at home. We take anywhere from 1-4 dogs at a time so our care is individualized.
Rivka works at home, and spends lots of time with our canine guests. We start our day with a long walk in the Middlesex Fells. We have a large fenced in backyard for play sessions during the day, and we go for frequent walks around our neighborhood. Your dog can expect to be showered with a great deal of love and attention and will become a welcome member of our family while you're away.
We are pleased to care for pets with medical needs and administer medications and shots for no extra charge. We have cared for dogs with Addisons, Cushings, arthritis, epilepsy, blindness, etc. On those rare occasions when dogs have had medical emergencies, we take them immediately to the Woburn Animal Referral Hospital, 10 minutes from our home.
Come visit us so we can meet you and your dog. At this meeting, if you like what you see, you will be asked to fill out a detailed questionnaire about your dog which will help us give him/her the best care we possibly can.
We have excellent references you are welcome to call.
