What is a job?
How do I search for jobs?
Log into your account. Once logged in, use the search bar found near the top of the page to indicate the type of job, the distance you'd like to search, and your ZIP Code and click "Go." If there are any jobs within the distance you indicated, they will be displayed.
What's the difference between a "one-time" job and a "recurring" job?
A one-time job is a single event on a single day. A recurring job is a job where services are needed over multiple days, or the job happens with some frequency.
How do I apply for a job?
Click on the title of the job from the search results. There is an application form at the bottom of the job details page. Fill out and submit the form and your application will be sent directly to the person who posted the job.
I applied for a job. Now what?
The person who posted the job will review all applicants and may contact you with follow-up questions or an offer. If you don't hear back, consider reviewing the quality of your profile, and, more importantly, keep trying!
Does Care.com provide a feed to notify me of new jobs?
Yes, Care.com provides an RSS 2.0 feed of jobs posted on Care.com.
What is a Care Gig?
Care Gigs are temporary or project-based jobs like the following:
General Errands- Wait for cable/delivery/service companies
- Deliver cars for maintenance, inspections, etc.
- Injury care: errands, home help, etc.
- Drop off dry cleaning & laundry
- Take items to post office or courier service
- Transportation: pick up and drop-off
- Gift shopping & wrapping
- Grocery shopping
- Returns & exchanges
- House sitting
- Water lawn or house plants
- Feed fish
- Bring in mail, packages, and newspapers
- Take out trash
- Party helper: server, bartender, setup, cleanup
- Event tickets: reservations, pickup & delivery
- Party planning
- Address and mail invitations
- Packing and unpacking
- Schedule movers
How do I get a job as a Care Gig provider?
If you're not yet a member of Care.com, click on the homepage where it says "Are you a caregiver? Click here". Once you are redirected to the next page, you will be presented with a drop-down menu to select the type of care job you would like to provide. Please select "Care Gig Provider".
If you are already a member of Care.com, please log-in to your account, select the "My Account" tab on the top-right of the page, and then select the "Profile" link on the left-hand side of the page. Scroll down to "Care Service Information" and select the "Add Service" link to the right of "Care Gigs".
You will then be prompted for some information about the types of Care Gigs that you wish to staff as well as other information that will be used to help you get a job as a Care Gig provider.
