Finding an affordable daycare on a limited budget

I am having a very hard time finding a GOOD daycare that is in my budget plus open as late as I need it to be. I work until 8pm and most daycares I can find that don't seem skeptical are only open til 630. I'm at my wits ends trying to find an affordable daycare that is open as late as I need. I've never used a daycare before, but my regular babysitter is having to get a job that brings in more money....Does anyone have any helpful hints for me??

I'm in Texas. Dfw area. Everywhere I've looked for a good daycare is out of my price range or the few I've found don't stay open as late as I need.

It's a little harder to find but consider doing a nanny share. Find and nanny that you and another family close can share. That way the two families can split the cost of the nanny and the kids will have friends to play with. I used to be a nanny and now I need one but I know just how expensive they can be and I can not afford one nor the daycares myself. Sharing a nanny also allows for somedays, everyone to be at your house and others at the other parents house. You get a little extra part time cleaning help on both sides. It's a win for everyone if you can find the right family to share a nanny with. If you are in the McKinney/Anna area, I'd love to see about sharing a nanny with someone.

having the same problem my husband and i work alot of the same shifts and our jobs require us to
be avalible whenver they would like to schedual us:( we get our scheduals for the month at the begining of the month but it is still hard to find good affordable day care/babysitters we can trust!

I am in the Far North Dallas area. I am a single parent in a big city. I have two children ages 7 and 5. I have been online at care.com and cafemom.com networking to find friends and people to have playdates with. I am new to the area.
