Hi! I am Cara, I am 19 years old and a college student home for the summer looking for a job. I am comfortable with taking care of up to 3 kids and am also comfortable with big and small animals. I am available weekdays all day and most weekends. I am very flexible and willing to work with you and your child(ren)'s schedules. I have my own car and I am willing to do pick-ups. I can also work on short notice. I am energetic, responsible, and reliable. I love to do fun activities and can help with home-work. I also can help with meal prep and some house-hold chores and pets as well.

I have experience working with children ages 0-5 years old, in a business setting, as well as in a personal/home setting. I have been taking care of children for 15years as a nanny and a teacher at a daycare. I have taught children valuable life lessons, such as how to count, recite their ABC's, and how to meet developmental milestones in a daycare and early child developmental institution. In addition, my studies in Child Development have aided in my understanding of the developmental and physical needs of children ages 0-5 years old, as they grow and mature into middle childhood. I started babysitting when I was 12 years old. In the beginning, I occasionally watched my younger cousin and then began watching my neighbors children. Later, I transitioned into working at a daycare during my senior year of high school where I worked primarily with toddlers, but I occasionally visited the other rooms to assist various other teachers. While I was attending Penn State Brandywine, I work at a local church on weekends and watched children of parents that were at mass. I have been working at this church now for 4 years and I really enjoy the work I do. In addition, I also worked at a home daycare last summer, where I watched children from 4 weeks to 5 years of age. I love working with children and helping them learn new ideas and concepts. I love seeing that light bulb go off over their head. My hobbies and interests include; reading, participating in sports, swimming, and arts & crafts, among other things. I am a passionate animal lover and get along well with all animals. I am a graduate of Penn State University with a degree in American Studies and am currently interested in pursuing my teaching credentials.
