I am a very upbeat grandmother type of baby caregiver. I am fun, loving, caring, compassionate and I have a very positive outlook on life and in general.
I have been a baby nurse for 37 years, but now I want to transition to caring for a newborn on a long-term basis, giving the family at least 2 to 3 years. It could be more, but as you know (and in my opinion), how long any caregiver lasts on a job mainly depends on the chemistry that exists between the mother and the nanny.
I enjoy loving, spoiling, and caring for newborns, making sure that they are loved, entertained, and kept safe at all times. When I was a nanny as a younger girl (smile), I used to play dress up with the children I cared for. I used to hold big Halloween parties in various parks, inviting over 20 children and parents or nannies to have fun. No one ever knew what I would come dressed as but it was outrageous and hysterical I assure you. I can read a story in a way that absolutely no one else can, always extracting a belly full of laughs from any child, be it a toddler or a big kid.
Nothing gives me more joy and fills my heart than to see the face of any child light up with laughter also to be instrumental in helping first time parents learn to care properly for their newborn baby or babies.
As I have matured, I have grown accustomed to nature, I love Connecticut, Westchester, New Jersey or anywhere where there is green grass. I can live in or out and to tell you the truth, if the job is out of NYC, I'd much rather sleep in if there is an extra room.
I adore dogs and cats are kinda okay, but nothing like one's best friend "dogs". I am a non-driver but close to all major transportation including the Metro North. The time the job starts in the morning matters not as I am an early riser.
A family who is warm, down to earth, and fun is my ideal family. One who thinks of their nanny as more than the hired help, most importantly, a "fair" family. I offer unconditional love to shower your baby with and a wealth of experience to make you feel secure. To me, pay is commensurate with experience especially when most clients rave about the caregiver's services.
I love to do tummy time with babies, flashcards, read books, sing & dance & simply keep them entertained. I am a clean woman so I like to keep the place tidy, of course I do everything child related. Would love to hear from you.
