In the past I have worked with families ranging in size from single parents and only children to couples with five children. Age has also varied with the youngest at five weeks and the oldest child being 12 years.

Presently I am working 18 hours a week with a family of seven and another eight hours a week with a family of five. These hours are Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. (with the exception of Wednesday when I work until 4).

My general duties usually include interactive projects (e. g. baking foods, making vinegar volcanoes, crafting fairy wings), field trips (to such places as museums, libraries, parks, and comic book shops), meal preparation (e.g. bottles, snacks, lunch, dinner for the whole family), teaching hygiene (e. g. baths, nail clipping, teeth brushing), household tidiness and more in depth household cleanliness (e. g. laundry, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, bathroom cleaning) and bedtime routines.

Currently I am working towards becoming a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) through the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM). I hope to finish a formal midwifery program within three to four years. My education is flexible, and it will not affect the hours I am able to work.

Along with my passion for midwifery, I am also taking a Spanish class once a week and have great enthusiasm for nutrition and nature.
