I started caring for children as soon I was able to. My aunts loved the idea of getting paid back for all the times they watched me as a child. What they didn't realize however was that I loved it. I spent most of my summers from 13 on babysitting my cousins. To this day we are all very close. I am so thankful that we were able to spend the time together.

When in high school I signed up to be a teachers aid in the first grade class room. I read to the class, wrote and taught a couple lessons, and provided one on one help to the students. I have so many wonderful memories of getting to know those children. It was there that I decided to go to college for Elementary Education (even though now I work in small business lending).

For two years I provided therapy for two autistic children. It was a wonderful experience for me. Every day I was amazed by what those children could accomplish and how they could make me laugh. It was great to know that I was able to be a part of their learning and overcoming obstacles.

Babysitting is an opportunity for me to bond with a child, teach them, have them teach me, laugh together, and be completely silly. Just a couple weeks ago I was spending time with my niece and nephew playing Wii Dance Party. That is the only video game that I am good at! We had so much fun! I don 't think the three of us have ever laughed so hard.
When playing with a child you do not have to worry if people will think you are a total goof ball.

I am looking to help a family that I can be an extended member of. I would like to be the person that gives you the occasional night off, a date night, shopping day, or just time to catch up on you time.
