I have worked with children for several years. I first got a job working at a daycare in Portland. I worked there for three summers and then worked through my senior year in high school as well as the summer leading up to college. While I was in high school, I had the opportunity to work with children in a preschool class. This class was 25 children ranging in ages 3-5 who would be in the high school for three days a week. I planned lessons, tracked student progress, among other duties. During college, I have had several classes which set me up in a classroom for 30 hours a term, helping the host teacher with grading and helping students with their daily work. Last year I worked at a family center as an Assistant teacher, working with elementary school age children on art activities, science projects and writing projects. I have had experience working with children of all ages.
