I have 4 children of my own (2 girls and 2 boys), ages 19, 21, 26 and 28, so I have a lot of experience! As a stay at home mom, I was very involved with their academics and after school activities over the years. It has been very rewarding to see them grow up and become an attorney, a medical sales rep, an architecture student at KU and a young entrepreneur. Because of my great love of children, I have volunteered as a baby holder at Texas Children's Hospital and also locally at St. Joseph Hospital, where I performed the state required computerized hearing tests on the newborns. I also volunteer from time to time in my church nursery. I am currently a Certified Child Care Worker (The United Methodist Church). This certification required that I attend a training course at the church and pass a thorough background check. I am also certified in CPR and First Aid. While my passion is newborns, I enjoy all ages of children. Unfortunately, I am not yet a grandmother so I'm looking forward to finding the right opportunity to fit my schedule and your child's needs. As an emptynester, I can house-sit and do some overnights, as well as travel with a family.
