I have completed my Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a concentration in Social Work, with minor in Child Psychology and Helping Professions.

I am interested in a nanny position because I have a passion for working with children. I have worked with children ranging in age from 2 months to 18 years of age, including special needs (autism, OCD, SED, ADD/ADHD). My experiences have taken place in the context of placements, ABA therapy clinics, preschools, elementary and youth groups, as well as my personal favorite, nanny. I have worked with many different types of families of different cultures and different parenting styles in several states, including Texas, New York and California. These varying experiences have allowed me to fully understand the needs of parents. I feel confident about the quality of services that I provide, and my references can attest to this.

Being a nanny is unique because I believe it requires not only an understanding of children and their families, but also it requires a great amount of patience, care and commitment. I truly love working closely with children. I can relate to their spontaneity and feel that I understand what it takes to make learning fun. The nanny role is one that I take seriously, professionally and personally, striving to be more than just an employee, but a role model.

I am currently working on my prerequisites for enrollment in a MA in Occupational Therapy, with a focus on pediatrics. For this reason I'm looking for a family who is able to be flexible with my school schedule. I am available to work 25-35 hours per week. My goal is to focus my studies in pediatrics so any time I spend with children is an opportunity for me to further experience and study the beauties of child development.
