I will be completing my graduate program at National Louis University where I will be obtaining my Master of Arts in Teaching degree with a major in Elementary Education. I have been working as a teaching assistant (3rd grade- Age 8 and 9 years) at a private school in Lincoln Park from September 2011 to present. In addition to supporting the needs of my students in the classroom, I also teach two after school extended care classes (arts/crafts and scavenger hunts) that contain 7-12 students per session. I regularly babysit for 3-5 families in Lincoln Park with children ranging from 20 months to 12 years old. I have worked as a camp counselor in the past, managing 20 children ranging from 5 to 9 years old. I was responsible for teaching the children how to play sports, creating fun craft activities, and teaching them how to swim. I am CPR certified as of 2011. I love playing outdoor activities with children, visiting museums and zoos, and creating stimulating craft activities. I frequently cook lunch and dinner and clean up immediately afterward, as I am a very neat and organized individual.
