I have been active in childcare for 10 years. I have babysat for all different ages, from infant to teenager. Beyond basic babysitting, I have worked with special needs children with the Special Olympics, distressed children with Big Brothers Big Sisters, and high energy children while instructing private, competitive swimming lessons. I agree with Pablo Picasso when he said, "Every child is an artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up." As a result, I focus on the arts when caring for a child. We spend time exploring creativity by listening to music, looking at visual arts, and creating our own art. I am high energy, outgoing, loving, but also structured. Cooking is one of my favorite hobbies and I would have no problem preparing any meal for any diet.
