Children are my passion. I have been babysitting for years. I used to babysit for kids at my church and neighbors all the time. The first family I was a nanny for, I had started babysitting their oldest child when he was a baby, and eventually they had another child, too. When I moved to Chicago for school, I worked part-time for a family and transitioned to almost full-time. I was with them for more than a year before they moved. When I started the kids were almost ages 6, 3 1/2, and 7 months old. By the time they moved, they had another child, so they were ages 7, 4 1/2, almost 2, and 4 months old. I adored working with them.

The last family in Chicago that I worked with had children ages 6, 8 and 10. I did breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I got all three to school and picked the youngest one up from kindergarten a few hours later. While he was at school, I did laundry and ran errands. After I picked him up, we played together, went to the library, read, and did art projects together. I set up and oversaw a lot of play dates as well. When the two oldest children got home from school, it got really busy! All three kids had at least two after-school sports and activities, so we were constantly on the go. I loved it. I have been so blessed to find families that make me truly look forward to going to work.

I moved to Florida to be with my mother while she was going through cancer at the end of April 2009. I worked temporarily for three months with a great family. They owned a company that geared up from November-February, and had a newborn and 4-year-old daughters.

I moved to the DC area in July of 2010.

I worked for a wonderful family part-time from September 2010-the end of October 2010. I had to leave unfortunately due to a health problem that required surgery. I still babysit for the family now almost every weekend. They have a 7-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son. I also house/pet-sit for them often.

I worked for a wonderful family for 9 months in Georgetown. When I started their little boy was 5 months old. I worked 55-60 hours a week. The mother's aunt from Bulgaria came to the U.S. to live with them, and take care of the baby. Their son was 14 months old when my job with them was finished. I also house/pet sat for them, and did babysitting on weekends.
