I have a degree in elementary education and taught for the Rockwood School district for several years. While my daughters were in elementary school I had my own tutoring business out of my home for 10 years. I taught Sunday school for 3 years and then was given the opportunity to be the preschool director. I was the director of preschool education in our church for 5 years and on the Board of education. I also taught art camps for 7 years in the summer.
I have 2 grown daughters who are both very successful at their schools. My oldest daughter is a senior at SLU with a double major and is on the honor roll. She is responsible for religious retreats at school, is in a sorority and also works at SLU. My youngest daughter is a senior at Kirkwood and takes all honor classes. She is also on the honor roll My youngest daughter writes for the school paper, is on student council and will be the captain of the varsity cheerleading team next year. They are both avid readers as well. I have a passion for child development. Reading to children or having them read to me is wonderful for children. I enjoy doing crafts and am very aware of child appropriate activities.
