If you are looking for quality child care for your child, then I may be the person for you. I have been in the early childhood field for over 20 years. I am a mother of two (19 and 11). I am CPR and First Aid certified, I am Live Scan fingerprinted, and have numerous personal and professional references. I have just recently decided that working as a director in a school environment may no longer be my niche. I am ready to get back to the basics to "have fun" (20 adults, not always "fun") with children which is the very reason I began teaching in the first place.
I can assure you I have a true understanding of the principles of child development which helps in planning appropriate activities and stimulating and enriching experiences for your child/children. I have plenty of "good old common sense", and I display good judgment. I am always conscious of a child's safety, and competent and self-assured in the event of an emergency.

Having been a teacher and then a director for so many years, I understand the importance of keeping you in the loop on everything that happens in your absence, from feedings to diaper changes, administering medications to jotting down funny things your child says. Open communication keeps you well informed, and helps us to bond and develop mutual respect for one another.
I certainly don't claim to be Mary Poppins, but I am a woman, mother and teacher of many years who is resourceful and creative, capable of making an afternoon of entertainment with just egg cartons, glue and a pair of scissors. Children relish surprises, and I can share that appreciation for discovery, whether it's a treasure hunt or chalk art on the driveway.
