I have over 15 years experience working with children ages 0-12 years. I have worked with Denver public schools developing schools-aged programs, as a nanny for twin girls, in a center based setting, as an education supervisor for early childhood education programs, as a therapist working in homes with families and children involved with legal child protective services, and I am currently enrolled in the Master of Arts Early Childhood Education Program/ Special Education at the University of Colorado-Denver.
I value individualization and family involvement. I believe that family involvement impacts the cognitive and social development of young children. When working with children and families, one must look at the family culture and values, the interests and needs of the family, and the child and family strengths. After all, you are your child's first teacher and are giving me the opportunity to learn from your child.
