I'm a nursing student who is currently in clinical rotations at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Prior to nursing school I served on staff at First Baptist Church Merritt Island where I worked in the Youth Ministry and Missions department. Last year I lead and taught at First Baptist's Sports Camps for kids which ran about 100 children from 1st through 6th grade. I had many opportunities to work with children while at First Baptist and was sad to leave because clinicals were starting. Before working at First Baptist I lived overseas working as a humanitarian aid worker in the United Arab Emirates. As one of the few single American workers in the country, I ended up babysitting for a lot of my coworkers. I have years of experience watching kids either with my church or with families directly and now I add something extra to the table with a bit of nursing knowledge.
