As the middle child of a large family, I had the responsibility to help my younger siblings' learning experience which led me to work hard in school and become self motivated. While in high school, I also babysat my three younger cousins, ages 9, 8, and 3 at the time, often overnight on weekdays. The older two were rowdy boys and the youngest was an energetic girl. I helped the boys finish and understand their homework as well as play dress-up with the girl. I learned a lot about what elementary boys were interested in and like to do in their spare time which helped me learn to relate to each of their personalities. I also made sure they weren't doing anything that their parents did not want them to be doing.
