While I was in high school, I went to vocational school and took an Early Childhood Education class for a year and a half. During the class, we would spend half the time in class and the other half in the day care that was attached to the school. My mother worked at night through high school, so I had to take care of my younger sister. I helped with homework, took her to ball and cheerleading practice, and just all of the daily needs in taking care of a child. Also, I would baby-sit for friends of the family when they needed it.
