I have extensive experience with children from the ages of three years to 12 years of age. I have worked with babies and younger middle age children (5 - 10 years). I worked for St. Louis Public Schools and have experience working with grades prekindergarten to 8th grade. I was a paraprofessional Special Education Instructional Care Assistant. I worked with children with special needs and varying learning disabilities. I have one-on-one experience with children ranging from very high functioning to low functioning. I also have experience with heading a classroom as I had a role of "head teacher" in a class of 14 preschool students. This experience helped me to develop the skills needed in designing engaging lesson plans as well as tending to the various tasks I was responsible for. I have also worked with older children (1st to 8th grade). Overall I have an average of 10 years of experience working with children in organized institutions and otherwise. I love working with children and I am a very patient and structured individual who has the passion for encouraging growth and development in every human being I encounter.
