Hello, my name is Theresa and I have been a nanny for 25 years. I love children very much and I have two teenagers of my own. I enjoy teaching small children numbers, colors, shapes, and the alphabet, but also love caring for older children as well. My rewards system is that I create a chart that enables each child to earn stars for performing small tasks or chores like picking up toys or making their bed. After the child has earned a specific amount of stars, they get a reward ranging from a cookie to a small toy. This provides lots of positive reinforcement. As for disciplinary actions go, there are three warnings before a time out or taking off a star, but if you have your own plan, I can conform to that as well. Although my primary responsibility is to care for the children, I am willing to perform small household chores such as making beds, light duty laundry, or cooking for the children and keeping the house orderly. I can also offer my assistance in providing transportation to after-school activities, doctor or dentist appointments, etc. when necessary.
