My experience begins with being in a family devoted to taking care of children. My parents took in foster children until I was in middle school. I loved having multiple siblings. I continued working with children, babysitting throughout high school. I was a stay at home mom who took care of my niece and nephew, as well as my friend's children. My experience outside the home began with working in both the Milwaukee and South Milwaukee Recreation Departments. I taught classes ranging from movement with music, to classes that prepared children for kindergarten. I enjoyed coming up with creative ways for the children to explore and learn new skills. I worked for the recreation departments for almost 15 years.
With my own children almost grown, I decided to get a job with more hours. So, I took classes and received my certification for teaching preschool. I have almost 5 years experience teaching preschool to 2 and 3-year-olds. I thoroughly enjoy both the challenges and the rewards that come from working with children. Every day there is a lesson to be learned and a smile to be given. I feel that children are my passion, and I would love to be given the opportunity to care for your child.
